Introducing iBistro at the
Welland Public Library

Welland Public Library's new library computer system provides users with an enriched and powerful service. With a single mouse-click users can search library holdings; review popular titles and bestseller lists; place holds; renew library material; and more.

iBistro is WPL's online catalogue, which runs as a web page and is accessible from any internet-capable computer. That means you can check for materials or check on your account status from home, office, school, or anywhere else in the world.

To access iBistro , browse to the Welland Public Library's homepage at www.welland.library.on.ca and click on the "WPL Catalogue" button. This takes you to the iBistro main page.

*It is not necessary to login to iBistro just to perform searches.

Email Notification

The Welland Public Library offers e-mail notification for items on hold for you and also for the first overdue notice to alert you to overdue items. Any final notices or bills will continue to be sent by mail.

When a hold is ready for you to pick up, the Library will send an e-mail message. The message will list the title(s) being held and how long the material will be held for you. This message will replace the telephone call that is currently placed when a hold is available.

In addition, if you have library materials overdue, a notice also will be sent via e-mail.

Our e-mail message will arrive from "The Public Library", with "Library Notice" as the subject. The location for pickup is the return address.

To receive e-mail notices, click here and send us an email. Be sure to include: your name, telephone number and Library barcode.
