The Library Comes To You!

The Welland Public Library is committed to providing off-site delivery and promotion of library materials and services to those unable to use library services in the traditional manner and to those who are under-served in the community. We can come to you to encourage literacy, the joy of reading, and to promote the library in the community.

Visits to Preschools and Schools

We can visit you at your location! Share our enthusiasm for reading and books as we describe a variety of books for different age groups and interests, and specific library programs.

Shut-In Service

Do you know someone who is unable to visit us? We can visit you and provide a selection of books in regular, large print, and spoken word formats. Books are delivered on a monthly basis to your home by a library volunteer.

How To Become a Shut-In Borrower

To qualify for this service you are:

• a resident of the City of Welland
• unable to use the library because of ill-health, or a visual or physical disability

Extension Services

We offer a convenient service to our readers who live in Senior Citizens' and Nursing Homes. A selection of regular and large print books are delivered as a deposit collection on a regualr basis throughout the year for the residents to borrow. We also off a selection of books for local Day Care Centres as a deposit collection on a regular basis throughout the year for the children to use.
